The sun is out and it’s a perfect day for patio dining under a big orange umbrella at Cheever’s Café on 23rd Street!
Because the building was once a florist, Cheever’s has a unique atmosphere with original art covering the walls and a former flower cooler now housing wines. This restaurant serves “contemporary comfort food” and everything (and I mean everything) is good.
When I was first introduced to Cheever’s, I was told that their chocolate cake is “the best cake in the world.” Since I am a certified chocoholic, I feel that I can safely vouch that this statement was correct. As far as entrees go, you can’t go wrong with Cheever’s chicken fried steak. It’s a classic! Personally, my favorite thing at Cheever’s is their Sunday brunch. I never know what to order because it’s all amazing! I’m always torn between Cheever’s French toast, the breakfast tacos and fried chicken and waffles. I’ll be honest, though, fried chicken and waffles usually wins – it’s a killer combination!
What’s one of the best things about Cheever’s? I always get 15% off with my OKCityCard when I dine in! It pretty much puts the icing on the cake for my love of Cheever’s.
